Bosherston is an ideal base for visiting St Govan’s Chapel and Broadhaven beach, while the string of famous lily-ponds are best approached from the village.
These picturesque lagoons – created in the 18th century – are a haven for bird-life, while giant pike lurk in the silent depths.
Nearby is the charming village of Stackpole where once stood Stackpole Court, the Welsh home of the Earls of Cawdor (remember Macbeth?). Though the manor house no longer stands, there is a network of footpaths around the wooded estate and across the downs to Stackpole Quay. Stackpole bridge is located at Stackpole Lake.
