On behalf of my fellow councillors and council staff I would like to express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and those injured in the terrorist attack in London yesterday.
We also give thanks to the expertise and professionalism shown by the emergency services and because of the speed that they reacted to the situation they undoubtedly prevented further injuries from taking place.
The attack at the heart of parliament was an attack on the values that we in this country hold so dear and we therefore cannot allow acts of terrorism to undermine the principles that we hold so high.
Dennis Evans – Mayor of Pembroke
