Temporary footpath closure – Orange Way, Pembroke

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE
(FOOTPATH BETWEEN ORANGE WAY AND PAYNTER STREET, PEMBROKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF NON VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2011

NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

The effect of the Order, which will have a maximum duration of 6 months, will be to temporarily prohibit all non vehicular traffic, other than those exempted, from proceeding along that section of public footpath which links Orange Way (Grid Ref: SM985 013) and Paynter Street (Grid Ref: SM985 012), Pembroke, and is necessary so that improvement works can be carried out to the footpath.

It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into force on Tuesday 15th February 2011 and be completed in approximately 5 weeks.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be via Orange Way, Thomas Street, South Road and Paynter Street.
