Pembroke Town Council fulfils commitment to freeze Council Tax for a second year.
At a recent Pembroke Town Council meeting, members voted for the 2010/11 precept based on recommendations made by the council's Finance Committee which had conducted a comprehensive review of its budget headings.

The Council agreed its Council Tax precept for 2010/11 will be £129,300 equivalent to £45.11 for a Band D property.

Town Clerk, Hugh Colley said ‘Whilst the proposed precept is an increase of £250:00 on the figure for 2009/10, it actually represents a minimal decrease of 3p for a Band D property within Pembroke. Every effort has been made to avoid an increase in Council Tax due to the current economic climate. However, some budgets such as maintenance costs and water charges have increased but cutbacks have been made in other areas’.
