Railway bridge gets makeover Print E-mail

Contractors started work last weekend on repainting the Holyland Road railway bridge which crosses one of the main access routes into Pembroke. The steel bridge was last repainted many years ago and was badly in need of repainting.

The work continues during the next three weekends with the road being closed during the times and dates shown below in order that scaffolding can be erected in the carriageway. Diversion routes will be signposted.

  • 00.01 hours on Saturday 9th August until 06:00hrs on Monday 11h August 2008
  • 00.01 hours on Saturday 16th August until 06:00hrs on Monday 18th August 2008
  • 00.01 hours on Saturday 23rd August until 06:00hrs on Monday 25th August 2008

Pedestrian access will be maintained together with vehicular access to affected properties either side of the works.
