During 2007 Pembrokeshire County Council conducted a Periodic Electoral Review of all town and community councils in Pembrokeshire.

As a result of this review, Pembroke Town Council will receive an entitlement of 15 councillors instead of its current 12 councillors. This change will take effect in time for the council elections to be held on 1st May 2008.

Being a town councillor is a rewarding experience as it gives people the opportunity to help their local community. Also, being a town councillor is a great way to gain experience and useful skills in public speaking, debating and problem solving.
